Every year a multimedia approach is used to get the word out about all the attractions at the Western Farm Show:
- Print advertising
- Radio advertising
- Point-of-purchase materials
- Posters
- Fliers
- News releases
- Feature coverage, including articles in the High Plains Journal
- Interviews by Association officials on farm radio stations
SouthWestern Association members receive posters for display and fliers to distribute in their retail dealerships. Participating dealers also receive discount coupons as incentives so their customers can save on Western Farm Show tickets.
Targeted Promotions
Since nearly 80% of the Western Farm Show attendees are farmers, they are the main focus of targeted promotions.
In addition, attendance incentives are used to reach key decision-influencers, including:
- University extension employees
- Extension agents
- Missouri Young Farmers members
- Kansas Young Farmers members
- Young Farm Women members
- Vocational agricultural instructors
- Vocational agricultural students
