Enter to win a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, estimated retail value of $21,065. Because entries are available to Western Farm Show registrants and postcard entrants, the odds of winning cannot be determined.
No registration or other purchase is necessary and will not improve the chance of winning. To participate, you must be: (a) 18 or older; (b) a resident of the U.S. and a State other than NJ, NY or RI; and (c) actively engaged in farming and work in agriculture or agribusiness as your full-time occupation (and not merely own or lease farm land). To enter, complete and deposit an official entry form at the Western Farm Show by 4 p.m. on February 22, 2009, or send a postcard entry containing the required information to the Western Farm Show at the address identified in the Official Rules so it is received by February 22, 2009. Official Rules for 2009 Western Farm Show Truck Give-Away
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY AND WILL NOT IMPROVE THE CHANCE OF WINNING.
2. Eligibility: To enter, you must: (a) be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States and a State other that New Jersey, New York or Rhode Island; (b) be actively engaged in farming and work in agriculture or agribusiness as your full-time occupation (and not merely own or lease farm land), and (c) not be an employee, representative, officer or director of any sponsor, manager, producer or exhibitor of the Western Farm Show to be held on February 20-22, 2009 (the “Western Farm Show”), or any of their respective affiliated companies (including accounting firm and advertising agencies) or an immediate family member of any such person. Western Farm Show and all above-identified affiliates and individuals are collectively referred to herein as “Western Farm Show and Affiliates”.
3. Entry: To enter, you may either: (a) obtain an official entry form at the Western Farm Show and deposit it in a deposit box at the Farm Show by 4 p.m. on February 22, 2009; or (b) mail a postcard entry by U.S. mail to “Western Farm Show Truck Give-Away” at the address identified in 10 below such that it is received by February 22, 2009. Limit one entry per person. To constitute a valid entry, you must meet the eligibility requirements in 2 above and timely submit on the entry form or postcard entry your name, address, telephone number and email address (if you have one). All late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, undelivered or destroyed entries are invalid entries, regardless of the person responsible or the cause.
4. Drawing: On or about March 23, 2009, Western Farm Show will cause its designated accounting firm to conduct a drawing in which one entry will be randomly selected from among all valid entries received. The designated accounting firm shall have the sole authority to determine the winner and its decisions are final and binding in all respects.
5. Prize: The prize is a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck with a verifiable retail value of $21,065. The prize may not be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of Western Farm Show. The winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees and other government assessments on the awarded prize.
6. Odds: The odds that a valid entry will be selected to win are one out of the total number of valid entries received. Because entries are available to all visitors of the Western Farm Show and to postcard entrants, the exact odds cannot be determined.
7. Claiming Prize; Alternate: The winner will be notified by telephone and/or mail. To claim the prize, the winner must complete, sign and return as directed to Western Farm Show within 30 days after the date of the first notice of award an IRS Form W-9 and an Affidavit of Eligibility, Waiver of Liability and Publicity Release. If winner fails to timely respond or otherwise comply with these requirements or if Western Farm Show determines the winner is ineligible after review of the Affidavit, then the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing as described in 4 above. By participating in this promotion, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Western Farm Show as the sponsor.
8. Waiver and Release: By participating in this promotion, each participant agrees to release and hold harmless Western Farm Show and Affiliates from any and all losses, damages, claims and actions of any kind arising from this promotion or from the acceptance, possession or use of the awarded prize, including, without limitation, claims based on death, personal injury, property damage, publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
9. Applicable Law and Geographic Area: All federal and state laws apply. This promotion is void in New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island and where prohibited by law. By participating, each entrant further agrees that any action at law or equity arising out of this promotion or the prize shall be filed only in Jackson County, Missouri and consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for purposes of any such action.
10. Sponsor and Winners List: The sponsor of this promotion is Western Farm Show, which is managed and produced by Southwestern Association with headquarters located at 638 W.39th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111. You may obtain the name of the prize winner by sending a request to the above address, together with a stamped, self-addressed, #10 envelope.
