AVAIL®, introduced in 2004, is an additive for phosphorus fertilizer that helps overcome phosphorus fixation. AVAIL is water-soluble and acts as a shield protecting the applied fertilizer from elements that normally would render phosphate unavailable in soil. NutriSphere-N®, introduced in 2007, is an additive for nitrogen fertilizer that manages nitrogen throughout the growing season by helping to reduce the amount of volatilization and nitrification that takes place, leaving more nitrogen in the soil available for plant uptake.
This will be the third year the Leawood, Kan. - based company has been an exhibitor at the Western Farm Show in Kansas City and SFP’s first year as the exclusive sponsor of the event.
“We have a great relationship with the Western Farm Show,” says Acklin. “They’ve been very open to ideas we have for sponsorship and we appreciate the ideas they have to help us bring the latest information and best-management practices to farmers.”
